BLARGH

Can't sleep... must... conquer... yarn! AARRGGHHHHH!!!

The yarn is taunting me... I think I've tried to cast on this damn sock at least 7 times and I end up either short a stitch or with a random mystery loop hanging off it. I am annoyed.

A top down sock ending with kitchner stitch is beginning to sound downright lovely. It can't possibly be much worse than the figure 8 cast on... but then again... if the frogs strike I'll have a whole sock at stake instead of a cast on... what to do what to do...

Perhaps I should set it aside and work on something else and see if it becomes jealous and starts cooperating. Couldn't hurt to try... but Lorna's Laces Red Rover Shepardsock is making me see red, and being of viking heritage I just can't seem to accept my defeat gracefully. :P

At this rate I may even have to break down and *gasp* actually BUY a book on sock knitting or PAY for a knitting class. *rolls eyes and shakes head* I suppose one can only get so far on free patterns but dammit that means less money for yarn.

*chunks yarn at the wall and stomps off to bed*

All I can say is omg wtf was this guy thinking?!? O.o

I was surfing the web for tattoo designs since I one day want to get one I think (which is how I ran across that inky atrocity)... maybe... IF I find the right design (or have it created) and the right tattoo artist. I do know that I definitely want a phoenix since that critter has turned out to be my totem. I've crashed, burned, and come back a several times and so I feel a strong connection with the phoenix. I used to be more fixated on the image of a phoenix IN a fire but now I think I'd prefer one soaring, since I too am now soaring in life since I found my darling boyfriend. I really like this one a lot:

I found it on Hocus Pocus Tattoo's site. It was done by an artist who goes by Kanae. I really like her work, but Hocus Pocus Tattoos is in Japan so I can't get it done there most likely unless I win the lottery. LOL Maybe I could pay her to design me a phoenix of my own though some day.

Yummy

Love is... going out at midnight to bring your non-pregnant non-menustrating non-bitching girlfriend reeses peanutbutter cups just because she wants some. :)

Over easter weekend I finished another hat for my darling boyfriend. Yay! He got the very first hat I knitted and well it had funny nubbles in odd places and a weird hole in one part so i made him a new one with my perfected techniques. There was also another hat between this one and the first, but I messed up the sizing and it made him look like a gnome since it was tooooo small. LOL He stuck it on my kid who immediately took off with it. Here's a pic of the final product on Jeremiah whom I ambushed just after he woke up from a nap.

(He hates having his picture taken. LOL)

Well now...

Ok I just got done tinking 2 rows off 3 needles (of four) of my sock... luckily it's just straight stockinette so it was pretty easy but somehow I started knitting on the wrong needle and went 2 rows deep on only 3 of the needles.... not entirely sure how I managed that although I suspect this might have something to do with it:

That's a screenshot from the movie I was watching at the time. LOL I think the hot womenz distracted me or something. (Who me? Distracted by nice titties in a kinky context? NEVER! LMAO ROTF DYING) It's from a move called Mercy and that's Peta Wilson. It paints a really screwed up picture of kinky folk and therefore annoys me, but zomg it has some hot scenes in it and I just can't seem to help watching it again and again. It's sort of a murder mystery\suspense\thriller movie (not a porno surprise surprise) about this series of murders with a kinky lesbian twist. It's not an accurate portrayal of the kink and lesbian scenes AT ALL but it's still a fun movie (sort of like Dee Snyder's Strangeland, but far more elegant). It's very dark and moody and I don't recommend it if you have sexual trauma from your childhood since it does deal with that subject a fair bit. The soundtrack is really good imhop. I find it strangely soothing.

I'm still not sure how the heck I managed to knit 2 rows on only 3 needles starting on the wrong needle without noticing. I discovered the boo boo when I tried on my sock and my toe got caught on this weird extra loop and I started looking and was like WOAH wth did I do?! This was probably the most puzzling knitting mishap I've ever had... even with Peta Wilson gyrating in a hot latex dress to techno... I mean seriously... how in the heck did I do that?! I mean... 2 rows... on 3 needles... starting on the WRONG DAMN NEEDLE!?!?! WTF? But then again....

Ok ok ok point made... God I'm a pervert. LOL
