Yarn Malaise

The frogs haunt me. Their slimy little beady little eyes follow me wherever I go. They are exploiting the fact that I can't hear out of my right ear and keep attacking my yarn. Everything I try to cast on casts off and I am about ready to throw my yarn out the window. It's lovely soft Andean Treasure in Ember by Knitpicks ...but alas... I cannot seem to make it work. WAH! I want to make these:

They're called Dragonscale Gauntlets and the pattern is here. I really want the frogs gone and I want the hearing in my right ear back dangit! *shakes fist*
